Malayalam Foundation is a non-profit organization formed in 2011 with a modest beginning and subsequently registered under Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950 with Registration No. E-7356/THA. It works with the main objectives to promote Malayalam language, literature, culture, tradition, education, cultural exchange and network Malayalis across the world, extending a helping hand in all possible ways and work for the overall welfare and benefit of Malayalis and others.

MAIN OBJECTS

1. To help the deserving and needy people in whatever possible manner.

2. Educational – to assist, encourage and guide in education and provide financial help to needy and deserving students.

3. To promote Malayalam language, literature, culture and tradition.

4. To conduct literary promotion activities, literary awards, literary seminars, symposiums and promote publications in Malayalam language.

5. Medical – to conduct medical camps, blood donation camps and extend any healthcare services and financial assistance to downtrodden and poor people.

6. Relief to the poor – to give financial or other assistance in kind by way of distribution of educational materials such as books, notebooks, cloths, uniforms, or meals for the poor and to persons affected by natural calamities.

7. To help orphanages, old age homes and the hapless abandoned aged mothers.

Malayalam Foundation has been identifying hitherto unrecognised talented and versatile people from literature, theatre, cinema, journalism, publishing, social service and other fields and honour them with Malayalam Foundation Awards since 2011.

Malayalam Foundation has already implemented some of the following projects and some are under way

• Career guidance seminars
• English Speaking Classes for Malayalis
• Malayalam Classes for Malayali students
• Hindi classes for Malayalis
• Marathi classes for Malayalis
• Blood donation camps
• Medical camps
• Extending support to old age homes and orphanages
• Extending financial help for medical treatment

Malayalam Foundation believes that God has given us a wonderful life. We are better off than others and to realize the difference we have to simply look at the less privileged and downtrodden people and their living conditions. Then we will know where we really are. Let us express our thanks to God by extending all possible help and support to our fellow people in whatever small manner we can. It will definitely change the lives and living conditions of the less privileged and poor people.
